How Wirral sex worker fell victim to serial killer who’s never been caught

An author is asking for the help of ECHO readers in tracking down any surviving family members of a 21-year-old “Jack The Stripper” murder victim from Bebington.

Elizabeth Figg is believed to have been the first of eight women targeted by the killer who carried out the so-called “Hammersmith Nudes Murders” in and around that area of London between 1959 and 1965.

The bodies of the victims, who were all sex workers, were found undressed in or near the River Thames, leading the press to nickname the murderer – who was never brought to justice – Jack the Stripper.

Elizabeth, who also went by the name Ann Phillips, died of asphyxiation due to manual strangulation.

Neil Milkins, co-author, with Professor David Wilson and Professor Bernard Knight, of Who Was Jack the Stripper? – The Hammersmith Nudes Murders, told the ECHO: “I am involved with a major BBC documentary –

Potential Fourth Murder Victim of Tampa Serial Killer Found

TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man walking to church to feed the homeless is believed to have become the fourth victim of a serial killer shooting people at random in Tampa.

Ronald Felton, 60, was fatally shot just blocks from a memorial honoring three people who were killed within days of one another last month in the neighborhood of Seminole Heights in Tampa.

A spokesman for the Tampa Police Department, Officer Steve Hegarty, said it is not known if the shooting is connected to the three murders in October, but said it will be treated as such until authorities can rule it out.

Alleged Serial Killer Wrote Message in Victim’s Blood – People

On the morning of October 27, police in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, found the body of 46-year-old Derick Westley Tucker on the ground near a storage unit. A blood-covered hacksaw and a machete were next to the body. And, chillingly, the killer had scrawled “4 Stop Wait Time” in the victim’s blood.

Detectives believed that the “4” signified the number of murders that the killer believed he had committed. Authorities think he overestimated the number; one of his victims had survived being shot in the neck.

Later on Oct. 27, police arrested 22-year-old security guard Nathaniel Maurice Petgrave, and charged him with three counts of premeditated murder, committing or attempting to commit a felony that could cause death, armed burglary of a business and unarmed burglary of a vehicle, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s office.

Police believe that Petgrave — who had recently become homeless — targeted five victims, three of whom he killed.

Suspected Florida serial killer wrote message with victim’s blood, police say

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Broward County detectives say a suspected serial killer used his victim’s blood to send an ominous message, NBC Miami reports.

Nathaniel Petgrave, 22, went on a killing spree targeting homeless people in the area, police say.

He allegedly shot two homeless men in their sleep at a gas station on October 20. One of the men, 65-year-old Larry Scott died at the scene. The other was left in critical condition.

Police also linked him to the October 21 death of 50-year-old John Jackson who was shot in the back of the head while he was working on his car outside of a grocery store.

Six days later, police said Petgrave broke into a storage unit, stole a handsaw and machete and killed another homeless man, 46-year-old Derrick Tucker. Tucker had sustained multiple sharp force and blunt force injuries, police said.

Police said the items were left next to Tucker’s body,

Accused serial killer wrote in homeless victim’s blood

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Detectives believe Nathaniel Petgrave used a victim’s blood to write “4 STOP WAIT TIME” on the floor. They think Petgrave chose the number “4” because he thought the victim was his fourth and didn’t know one of his victims survived.

Police said Petgrave shot two homeless men, ages 65 and 68, in their sleep Oct. 20 at a gas station at 3609 W. Broward Blvd. in Lauderhill.
