First ‘Summer of ’84’ Trailer Looks Like ‘Stranger Things’ with a Serial Killer

summer-of-84-movie-slice

The filmmaking collective known as RKSS delivered an alt-history apocalypse with 2015’s Turbo Kid, now directors François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell are taking us back to the titular Summer of ’84 for a thoroughly throwback serial killer yarn. Ahead of the film’s Sundance debut, Gunpowder Sky has debuted the first trailer and it has a distinctly familiar Stranger Things vibe, dripping with Amblin/Stephen King stylized atmosphere — not to mention a buncha kids on bikes — but keeping Turbo Kid in mind, I’m thinking this retro thriller is gonna be a little darker and more twisted.

Summer of ’84 follows a group on young teens who spend a hazy summer coming of age and assembling the clues to track down the so-called Cape May Killer terrorizing their town. There’s just one problem — all signs point to one of the

Hellraiser: Judgment trailer turns Pinhead into a serial killer

“I am a jealous god,” we see written in blood in the first Hellraiser: Judgment trailer, though the writer might be envious of the simple charm of the original classic horror film. Hellraiser (1987) was Clive Barker’s directorial debut. It was based on his novella The Hellbound Heart. and introduced moviegoers to the Cenobites. The tenth film in the Hellraiser franchise turns Pinhead into serial killer. But it probably won’t be enough to kill the series. Hellraiser: Judgment will be meted out on Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD on February 13 in the US from Lionsgate. We don’t have a UK release for it yet.

Hellraiser: Judgment follows homicide cops on a devilish beat. “Three detectives trying to stop a diabolical serial killer are sucked into a maze of otherworldly horror, where hellish denizens including the Auditor, the Assessor, and the Jury await to pass judgment,” reads the official synopsis.

Writtten and directed by Gary J.

‘Hangman’ Trailer: Al Pacino Plays Deadly Game With Serial Killer …

“I don’t want to see them die for what I did,” growls Al Pacino as the grizzled homicide detective in Johnny Martin’s upcoming crime thriller Hangman. This new trailer doesn’t make clear exactly what Pacino did – whether he missed a vowel or consonant in the child’s game of the title, or maybe something worse – but victims are hanging around all over town.

Set to the tune of “House of the Rising Sun,” the trailer introduces us to Pacino’s homicide detective Ray Archer and his criminal-profiling partner Will Ruiney (Karl Urban). They’re trying to catch a notoriously vicious serial killer who is playing a twisted version of the kids’ game Hangman. Brittany Snow plays journalist Christi Davies, shadowing the detectives.

Martin, exec producing along with Jonathan Saba, directed from a script by Michael Caissie Charles Hutting, and Phil Hawkins.

Watch the terrifying trailer for gay serial killer biopic My Friend Dahmer

We’re getting even more excited for My Friend Dahmer.

The highly-anticipated biopic will focus on the high school years of gay serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer, before he went on to murder 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.

Ross Lynch, former star of Austin Ally and Teen Beach Movie, will be shedding his wholesome Disney image to play Dahmer himself, while Alex Wolff, Anne Heche, Dallas Roberts and Vincent Kartheiser will co-star.

“My Friend Dahmer is basically the coming of age story of Jeffrey Dahmer,” Lynch told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year. “[It’s about] how he became the serial killer that we know him to be.

“I was looking for a role that would somewhat be a challenge for me. I had done

The final trailer for Fincher’s new serial killer Netflix series is here to …

By Rory Cashin

“How do we get ahead of crazy if we don’t know how crazy thinks?”

The last time David Fincher worked with Netflix, he gave us House Of Cards.

The last time David Fincher worked with serial killers, he gave us Gone Girl. And before that he gave us Se7en, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and, of course, the modern classic Zodiac.

Now Fincher is giving us serial killers on Netflix, so even from an un-biased perspective (which we don’t possess for Fincher), this will likely be one of the best TV shows of the year.

Mindhunter is a new ten-part series that is based on the true story of two FBI agents who happen to end up creating the terminology of “serial killers” back in the 1970’s, off the back of interviewing murderers that the system at the

Tragedy Girls Trailer Brings Quirky Serial Killer Terror to High School

Gunpowder Sky’s horror/comedy Tragedy Girls (review) will be coming out in theaters on October 20th, so don’t you think it’s high time for a trailer to make its appearance? I know that I sure do!

But wait…what do we have here? Why, could it be? Yes! Yes it is! We’ve got the first trailer for you to check out below!

Quirky and endearing, the film, which made its world premiere earlier this year at SXSW, is undoubtedly charming and entertaining, completely with a hefty dose of bloodshed Heathers-esque nihilism.

Directed by Tyler MacIntyre, who co-wrote the script with Chris Lee Hill (based on an original screenplay by Justin Olson), Tragedy Girls stars Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse), Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), Josh Hutcherson, Craig Robinson, Kevin Durand, Jack Quaid, Timothy V. Murphy, Nicky Whelan, Austin Abrams, Kerry Rhodes, and Mary Carmen Lopez.

Synopsis:
Best friends Sadie and McKayla
