Warning: major Riverdale spoilers below! Do not read until you have watched the season two premiere, “A Kiss Before Dying.” Seriously, we’re talking real, bloody spoilers! Don’t say we didn’t warn you …
Riverdale is back, and there’s a new killer on the loose.
Everyone’s favorite Hot Archie TV Show (yes, it deserves caps) returned with the season two premiere on Wednesday night, and the fast-paced plot hasn’t slowed down at all. So much happened in the dark, haunting hour. Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) survived his gunshot wound! And hallucinated Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) getting married (with bagpipes?)! “Varchie” actually had shower sex in the real world! Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) rode a motorcycle! The evil and manipulative Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) came home from prison! New Reggie (Charles Melton) had a line!
But none of that compared to the final scene, when all hell
There’s a monster in the rural Scottish village of Lochanfoy, and it’s not Nessie. At least one person in this tight-knit community is a brutal and sadistic killer.
The locals are in shock after the murder of local piano tutor Niall Swift, whose brain was gruesomely removed through his nose before he died. A human heart has also been found on the shore, while a body lies still undiscovered at the bottom of the loch. Oh, and now part of Niall’s brain has turned up in a ziplock bag where the blood matches the heart – and poor Jonjo has been killed and dumped in a van.
The first few episodes set up three suspicious characters. Here is the evidence against each:
Craig Petrie, played by Alastair Mackenzie, is the head of Lochanfoy college.
What is the evidence against Craig Petrie?
– He was the one who discovered the body, while apparently on
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is now considering Mary Rice, 37, of Milton, Florida as a suspect in the hunt for her and accused serial killer William “Billy” Boyette, 41.
During a press conference held by the ECSO at 4:00 p.m., Sheriff David Morgan said Rice is being deemed an accessory after the fact. He said photographic evidence showed that Rice had chances to escape.
“There was sufficient time if you will for her to make an escape,” said Morgan “to walk away, seek refuge if you will for safety, but she returned continually to him.”
Morgan also stated that the most recent victim, in Boyette and Rice’s crime spree, Kayla Crocker is now listed in critical condition. She was shot during a home invasion on Monday morning at 8460 Beluah Road in Florida.
Investigators said Boyette and Rice stole Crocker’s white 2006 Chevy Cobalt with a Florida license plate reading: 9613BJ.
