Suspect was teased at work about resemblance to serial killer

The ex-St. John’s student now accused of slaying four people in Tampa was teased by unsuspecting co-workers about his resemblance to police “wanted” footage of the killer, according to a new report.

“We would tease him and say he was the killer, because he looked like the pictures,” Gail Rogers, a four-year employee at the Ybor City McDonald’s where suspected serial killer Howell Emanuel Donaldson III had worked as a shift leader, told the Tampa Bay Times.

“I called him the killer to his face,” Rogers told the news outlet. “He didn’t like that.”

Tampa cops had released surveillance footage in October showing a hoodie-wearing man walking in the area where one of the victims was killed.

The 24-year-old, who tried out for the famed basketball league at the Catholic college in Queens during the 2011-2012 year, was charged with four counts of murder Wednesday for fatally shooting four random people over

Japanese serial killer suspect ‘preyed on suicidal women via Twitter’

Takahiro Shiraishi, arrested Monday, reportedly ran a Twitter account titled “hangingpro” with a description outlining his knowledge about hanging, the Japan Times reports.

“I want to help people who are really in pain. Please DM me anytime,” it reads.

A Tweet posted under the account last month discusses bullying and appeals to those stigmatised by failed suicide attempts.

“Bullying is everywhere, in school and at work,” it reads.

Suspect in Japan Serial-Killer Case Sought Out Suicidal People

Television reporters spent a good part of Tuesday and Wednesday training their cameras on the building in the city of Zama where Mr. Shiraishi lived, or showing footage of the suspect covering his eyes with his hands as the police drove him to meet with prosecutors Wednesday morning.

With the police officially saying very little, it was left to the Japanese news media to report details leaked to members-only “press clubs” for crime reporters.

Florida Serial Killer Theories Emerge in Search for Suspect

Florida serial killer theories are being discussed by experts after three people have been killed in a Tampa neighborhood with no apparent connection to each other, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

The three victims – two African-American men and one white woman – all under the age of 32 have been shot and killed in the Seminole Heights area within a two-week period, the newspaper said.

“If we are talking about one killer, then we are talking about a serial killer in Tampa,” criminologist Jack Levin told the Times. “However, he does differ from the typical serial killer in a very important way: He used a firearm.”

Police believe the deaths of Benjamin Mitchell, 22, Monica Hoffa, 32, and Anthony Naiboa, 20, all shot within a few blocks of one another, were done by the same person, WTVT-TV stated.

“(The killer probably has a) deep and personal relationship with the

Official: Serial killer suspect’s call to cops led to arrest

A suspected serial killer was arrested in Louisiana last week after he called a sheriff’s office and claimed responsibility for a string of shootings that killed three men and wounded a fourth, according to a law enforcement official.

Ryan Sharpe, 36, wasn’t a suspect in the shootings until he called the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office last Wednesday and identified himself as the killer, said the official, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

After the call ended, the sheriff’s office called Sharpe again but he didn’t answer, according to the official. However, Sharpe later called them back and once again identified himself as the shooter they were seeking, the official said.

The calls immediately led investigators to Sharpe’s home in Clinton, where officers saw him drive away in a white four-door Nissan Altima. They tried to pull him over but he led

Prosecutor Suggests a NY Carpenter Could Be a Suspect in the Long Island Serial Killer Case

A carpenter named John Bittrolff, who was recently sentenced to prison for murdering two prostitutes, may be responsible for one or more of the unsolved deaths connected to the bodies discovered on Gilgo Beach in Long Island, New York, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

“There are remains of the victims at Gilgo that may be attributed to the handiwork of Mr. Bittrolff, and that investigation is continuing,” Robert Biancavilla, a prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in New York, told the Associated Press.

The Gilgo Beach case, dubbed the “Long Island Serial Killer,” traces back to the discovery of multiple bodies starting in December 2010. Authorities eventually unearthed 10 sets of remains on Gilgo and have said they believe at least four of the deaths — all of women — are linked, raising the specter of one or more serial killers

Kansas City serial killer suspect: ‘Kill all white people’

An suspected serial killer eyed in the executions of five men along Kansas City hiking trails once threatened to “kill all white people.”

Fredrick Demond Scott, 22, who has been charged in two of the slayings and is the prime suspect in three others, allegedly carried a brutal grudge.

The Kansas City Star reports that according to court records, Scott, who is black, threatened three years ago to shoot up an area alternative school and “kill all white people.”

But his mom told the newspaper that her son — who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia — never displayed any sign of hatred towards whites.

“As far as I know, Fredrick never had a problem with white people,” his mother said. “He would do odd jobs for people and some of those people were white men.”

Police say they aren’t sure if the murders were racially motivated, but say the accused told detectives he was

Man charged in two KC killings, suspect in three more: ‘They didn’t see it coming’

A mysterious series of apparently random killings in Kansas City, mostly committed in isolated spots along walking trails, came to an end when the killer deviated from his pattern with a brazen, execution-style shooting in broad daylight on a city street, according to Jackson County prosecutors.

The fifth and final killing came shortly after noon on Aug. 13, when 22-year-old Fredrick Demond Scott allegedly followed a man from a city bus, crept up behind him on the street and shot him in the head — before turning and getting right back on a bus.

Like the other four victims Scott is either charged with killing or is suspected of killing, Steven Gibbons was a stranger but fit a specific profile: they were all white men between ages 54 and 67.

All five victims were shot. Four were shot in the head — three in the back of the
