The last time David Fincher worked with Netflix, he gave us House Of Cards.

The last time David Fincher worked with serial killers, he gave us Gone Girl. And before that he gave us Se7en, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and, of course, the modern classic Zodiac.

Now Fincher is giving us serial killers on Netflix, so even from an un-biased perspective (which we don’t possess for Fincher), this will likely be one of the best TV shows of the year.

Mindhunter is a new ten-part series that is based on the true story of two FBI agents who happen to end up creating the terminology of “serial killers” back in the 1970’s, off the back of interviewing murderers that the system at the

BBC Orders Scottish Series, New True-Life Drama on London Serial Killer

The BBC has ordered up a new true-life drama about a London serial killer from the team behind British ratings sensation “The Moorside,” along with two new Scottish dramas for flagship channel BBC One. Charlotte Moore, the broadcaster’s director of content, announced the new commissions Thursday at the Edinburgh Intl. Television Festival.

“The Barking Murders” will be a new three-part factual drama from Jeff Pope (“Philomena”) and Neil McKay, the team behind “The Moorside,” which broke BBC viewing records for a new drama earlier this year. “The Moorside” (pictured), starring Sheridan Smith, dramatized the 2008 search for a missing British schoolgirl. “The Barking Murders” will tell the story of convicted serial killer Stephen Port from the point of view of the families of his four victims, focusing on the fight to uncover the truth about the deaths.

Dr HH Holmes, pictured, skinned and dissected his victims

A new series is set to investigate the link between Britain’s most notorious murderer and America’s first serial killer.

In the late 1800s Dr Henry Howard Holmes built the labyrinthine World’s Fair Hotel, in Chicago.

The 60-room boarding house was a murder trap – having been constructed to allow the proprietor easy access to his victims who he skinned and dissected before dissolving their body parts in acid.

He was an intelligent, articulate man and a qualified chemist who graduated with a medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1884.

Four years later Jack the Ripper claimed his first victim in Whitechapel, London.

The identity of Jack the Ripper, the killer who disemboweled five prostitutes in 1888, has
