But did serial killer Aileen Wuornos a former prostitute who was executed in Florida in 2002 for killing six men really deserve to die?
In July 1990, Aileen Wuornos was arrested by the Florida State Police.
She was suspected of having shot a man in cold blood who had solicited her for sex. Within days, Wuornos would find herself in the frame for a total of six murders.
As the police tape recorder rolled, repeated attempts by detectives to question her about her alleged involvement in the crimes were met with silence.
Yet when Wuornos eventually spoke, she would became known as one of the most prolific female serial killers in history.
