‘Grandpa’ Johnson determined to win 8th NASCAR championship – Quad

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Jimmie Johnson has never hitched a ride for an afternoon on a champion’s float that snakes down closed city streets.

The professional sports teams bask in the celebration of hundreds of thousands of fans screaming in adulation and spraying beer from sidewalks in a frenzy as confetti flies from the sky.

The NASCAR champion traditionally gets a party in victory lane at the season finale and throws a bash at the postseason banquet.

It’s all good fun, but even a seven-time champion wouldn’t mind a parade.

“I have to admit, that would be a nice add to the NASCAR champions schedule,” Johnson said. “It would be really cool.”

Johnson, a regular visitor to the White House when he reigned as NASCAR’s champ, had already initiated his own

Serial killer Theodore Johnson jailed for 26 years

Theodore Johnson murdered mother-of-four Angela Best on 15 December 2016 at his flat in north London.

The 51-year-old grandmother was found dead in his living room, having been hit over the head with a claw hammer and throttled with her dressing gown belt.

The pair had broken up and Ms Best was in a new relationship, but had gone to help him with an appointment at the Jamaican embassy.

After he killed her, Johnson, 64, fell into the path of a train at Cheshunt station.

He survived, but was left wheelchair-bound, and his arms were severed.

Ms Best’s body was discovered by officers searching his flat as he was treated in hospital.

Lorraine Jones, the sister of Angela Best, said the killer played the system.
