The most effective way of raising awareness for a cause is to be outrageous, prominent Australian journalist and advocate Tracey Spicer has told Daily Mail Australia.

Ms Spicer, who bared her breasts in a documentary last month to remind women to check for cancers, and who’s told of her sexual past and the tattoo on her behind, has never been a fan of discretion.

‘Often, the only way to get the attention is to do something really outrageous,’ the 48-year-old news anchor, columnist and mother-of-two told Daily Mail Australia on Friday.
